RACE SOUND, the performance exhaust importer, has added a new range to bolster its presence in SA. Enter Italian superbrand Supersprint.

Race Sound owner Reinhart Schwendinger says: "With already the most formidable range available in Eisenmann, Quicksilver and Tubi Style for high- end sports, luxury and supercars in the country, we felt that Race Sound needed to increase its range to suit the needs of most South African motoring enthusiasts. Now, with Supersprint, Race Sound has increased its range to best fulfil the needs of most super hatches and the more popular cars found here in SA."

Established in 1955, Supersprint is a traditional family business with more than 55 years of experience in developing and handcrafting some of the best sports car performance exhausts in the world.

Thanks to its experience and strong long-term association with several car makers’ factory racing teams, Supersprint designs, develops and produces real performance systems from scratch.

The company autonomously designs, develops and manufactures complete exhaust systems for a wide range of cars, from the small Fiat 500 to the Ferrari Scaglietti. It has a particular interest in sports cars such as BMW with M engines, Mercedes with AMG engines, Mitsubishi Evo, Subaru Impreza and supercars like Porsche and many others.

All its exhausts are specifically suited to each specific car model in order to provide an ideal blend of performance increase, reduction in exhaust back pressure, sporty sound and improved durability.

Each component is individually tested, from racing-design headers and high flow-metallic catalytic converters to the rear mufflers, to ensure a perfect compatibility and an optimum function in conjunction with the original equipment manufacturers’ exhaust parts.

For weekend sport driving sessions at the race track or the occasional club race, catalytic converter-replacing silencers and tubes are available and provide even more performance. "Real sports cars are heard before they are seen," says Schwendinger.
